King’s Volunteering is your one-stop shop for discovering opportunities and building connections with people and organisations that are driving positive change in our local, national and international communities. Here are five ways you can get involved in King’s Volunteering:
1. Sign up to King’s Volunteering, and apply to a volunteer role on our website.
Sign up to King's Volunteering, to discover opportunities, close to campus across London, online or elsewhere. From one-off events to regular volunteering opportunities, there's something for everyone. Whether you are passionate about the environment, education or mental health, King's Volunteering can connect you with an organisation and a cause that's right for you.
2. Attend a King’s Volunteering Event.
From info sessions to tours with our community partners to volunteering fairs, there are plenty of events we organise year-round. Click here to discover upcoming events.
3. Write a blog for our platform and share your volunteering experience.
Whether you are a seasoned volunteer or have volunteered just one time, we would love to hear from you about your experience. Have a look at stories written by students and staff on our website. If you would like to share your story with us to inspire others to volunteer, please get in touch at volunteer@kcl.ac.uk.
4. Donate items at our Donation Stations across campus.
We are collaborating with the King’s Climate Action Network and the King’s Sanctuary Programme, to collect donations for King’s Volunteering partners. In the past we have collected a variety of items such as children's clothes, books and toiletries. Click here to discover where our donations stations are located across campuses and how to donate.
From 11 September - 27 October 2023, King's Volunteering will be using the donation stations to collect granny squares (crochet squares) crafted by staff and students across King's to help us make blankets for babies in need, for our partner Little Village.
