Workshop Chair (Black Space)

Our workshops and groups provide an opportunity for service users to create community around their interests and passions. As a volunteer you will be supporting service users and Workshop Leaders by chairing these social spaces.

Our workshops and groups provide an opportunity for service users to create community around their interests and passions. As a volunteer you will be supporting service users and Workshop Leaders by chairing these social spaces so that they are inclusive and safe. In this role you can use your own unique experiences and skills to make personal difference to those using the service.

At the Southwark Wellbeing Hub we aim to provide a range of support for anyone in Southwark facing issues impacting on their mental health, this includes; wellbeing workshops, peer support and one-to-one support. Our new support group Black Space aims to provide a space to share experiences of being black and the issues impacting on wellbeing and mental health.

This role is especially suited to someone who is passionate and informed about the mental health needs of the Black community, can volunteer regularly and has good knowledge of the borough of Southwark.

This role is suited to someone who is passionate and informed about the mental health needs of the Black community, can volunteer regularly and has good knowledge of the borough of Southwark. We are looking to recruit from the black community to ensure the group remains safe for our clients.
