Youth Night Volunteer

Join our open access youth session and support young people 8-16yrs to take part in a range of activities and have a safe space to hang out. We are particularly keen to get some female volunteers who can support sports activities!

What You'll Do: 

Youth Night – Thursdays 4.30-7 in person at Colombo Centre

Join our open access youth session and support young people 8-16yrs to take part in a range of activities and have a safe space to hang out.  We are particularly keen to get some female volunteers who can support sports activities!

 

Main Duties

  • Help set up for Youth Night and ensure the space is safe and welcoming
  • Welcome young people to the session
  • Support young people to engage in the different activities on offer - including sports, arts and crafts etc 
  • Build relationships with the young people and support staff to deliver the session
  • Help tidy up and debrief after the session
  • Plan for future sessions
  • Be vigilant to any safeguarding or health and safety concerns and flag them up with the appropriate staff member as soon as possible.
