Befriending

Our befriending service will pair service users with volunteers who will talk to them for an hour each week.

What You'll Do: 
  • Offer  face-to-face, phone, or virtual befriending support for one hour per week.
  • Submit befriending reports after each interaction.
  • Collect Demographic information.
  • Attend monthly supervision sessions.
What You'll Learn: 
  • How to improve your communication skills .
  • How to understand and share the feelings of those you befriend.
  • How to build relationships with community organisations. 
  • How to write debriefing reports and gather demographic data.
  • How to maintain confidentiality.
