Our befriending service will pair service users with volunteers who will talk to them for an hour each week.
What You'll Do:
- Offer face-to-face, phone, or virtual befriending support for one hour per week.
- Submit befriending reports after each interaction.
- Collect Demographic information.
- Attend monthly supervision sessions.
What You'll Learn:
- How to improve your communication skills .
- How to understand and share the feelings of those you befriend.
- How to build relationships with community organisations.
- How to write debriefing reports and gather demographic data.
- How to maintain confidentiality.
