Baby Bank Delivery Driver

Do you enjoy driving and exploring your local area? Would you like to use your spare time out on the road, meeting new people, and making a real and immediate difference to the lives of young children in your community?

What You'll Do:

The number of families needing our help continues to rise but we can only continue our vital work if we can find new volunteers to deliver to families.

How often would I be needed?
We can be flexible, but ideally would love it if you could support us 2 half days a month.  Approximately 4-hours each day.

What would I be doing?
You would collect a hire van near your home or close to one of our hubs, where you would collect deliveries for families in your area London.

If you have some spare time and could help us to deliver essential items like kids’ clothing, toiletries, buggies and cots to families in your area, please do get in touch for an initial chat and more information.

Don’t drive, but would like to help deliver?  Consider being a co-pilot and joining a driver on their route.

Why You'll Love It:

You will get to explore London and become part of a friendly volunteer driven organisation.

2022 looks set to be our busiest yet, with rising fuel and food costs, cuts to benefits and covid all having an impact on families trapped in poverty. Many tell us they are forced to choose between eating and heating.

If you are keen to do something positive to counter the cost of living crisis but feel powerless to do so we can help you change that if you sign up to volunteer at Little Village and develop your driving, team working and family liaison skills.

What You'll Learn:

You will have the opportunity to develop your driving, team working, and family liaison skills.  It’s a brilliant way to meet new people, to learn new skills, and to make a real and direct difference in your local community. You will become part of a movement of people committed to alleviating child poverty.

What We're Looking For:
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Happy to drive a Zip hire van (or own van)
  • Reliable
  • Good communication skills
