Colechi
Humanising clothing
ABOUT US:

We are Colèchi a collective and research agency actioning sustainable development in the fashion industry.

As a team we work to humanise clothing again through curation, workshops and insight; working in between brands, education and government in collaboration with our collective that includes growers, weavers, designers, media to recycler.

Our Clean Fashion manifesto underlies everything that we do. We believe that by understanding and bringing awareness to the four key areas of the fashion supply chain – sourcing, making, media, afterlife – we can build a transparent and collaborative industry.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

Everbody wears clothing. The UK is the third largest apparel and footwear market worldwide, after China and the United States, with a market size of 7]

£57.92 billion pounds; yet it is heavily polluting. We want everyone to connect with their clothing and wardrobes. Our campaigns help people to connect with their clothing through community and collaboration. We bring together people from across generations.

OUR VALUES:
VOICE COMMUNITY CO-LEARNING DISMANTLE SELF
OUR AWARDS:
New Landscape R&D Grant 2023 with UAL and British Council
Enterprise Development Fund with SIB and Ubele 2023
THINGS WE ARE PROUD OF:
Our annual summit that takes place at Somerset House and invites the public to talk about their relationship with clothing
Our knitting club (YKWU - You can Knit With Us) that occurs every month and connects people with eachother and clothing
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:

For each person to have a desire to learn and share.
